Benefit for Positive Tomorrows @ The Conservatory ~ Tonight

REMINDER! This event is tonight!

Many of you have heard us talk about a fabulous organization called Positive Tomorrows. They help homeless children stay in school. So important! Just before Thanksgiving, a benefit is being held, by local band The Uglysuit. They are asking folks who attend the concert to bring non-perishable canned food to donate for the families involved with Positive Tomorrows. Please, spread the word!

We ask you to also remember these kiddos & their families at Christmas :)

Mother to Mother fundraiser at The Speakeasy

We always have a marvelous time at The Speakeasy. Now, we have yet another reason to stop by the spot. On Saturday night, they are hosting a benefit for Mother to Mother! The organization helps single moms who are struggling with poverty. The cover charge is only $10 from 7 to 9 pm and $5 after 9pm, but additional donations will be accepted that night, if you wanna give more.

Cover is $10 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM for Silent Auction & live music from The Piranah Brothers and Jeff Nokes.
Then, cover drops to $5 @ 9:00 PM for music from 3.2 Flu band

Live Music @ Big Mike's birthday gathering

Big Mike is celebrating his birthday, at Half-Time Sports Grill, with some live music! Bloody Ol' Mule, Rock n Roll Trio & Brian Dunning are expected to perform. Also, the lovely ladies of 7 Deadly Sins Burlesque Revue will present a cake to the bday boy.

Ghouls Gone Wild Parade in Downtown Oklahoma City

Start your Halloween fun on October 25th with the 2008 Oklahoma Gazette Ghouls Gone Wild Parade! It will wind through the streets of downtown Oklahoma City. This year's Grand Marshall is April Wahlin from the Fox reality series "The next Elvira." Our very own amazing band, The Flaming Lips, are appearing again with their March of a 1000 Flaming Skeletons. Fun for folks of every age :)

New parade route this year ~ The line begins at NW 11th & Walker. Moves South and then East on NW 10th to Broadway, before turning South again to 2nd street. Organizers are telling everyone that the best viewing areas are at Plaza Court (in Midtown @ NW 10th & Walker) and the "Field of Screams" at NW 4th & Broadway.
